Which crypto cards work in the UK?
RedotPay is global — the UK is not on unsupported-country lists at verification time. Wirex explicitly includes GB among eligible countries for its Mastercard program. Bybit EU and Crypto.com EU are EEA-only products (bybit.eu / EU prepaid Visa) and are not available to UK-resident KYC in our model. Binance Card is not available in the UK after the Dec 2023 EEA Visa shutdown. Always confirm eligibility in-app before applying.
USDT vs USDC for UK residents
Both RedotPay and Wirex support USDT and USDC directly — important for remote workers paid in stablecoins. There is no Bybit EU or Crypto.com EU path in the UK model, so asset choice is simpler: pick the program whose fee model fits your GBP spend pattern.
Fees for everyday GBP spending
UK daily spend is mostly GBP. USD-denominated cards add FX on domestic purchases. Wirex uses global fee region for GB in our model. RedotPay charges ~1% crypto conversion plus FX when merchant currency differs. Use the calculator (€ presets as volume proxy) for estimated annual cost — not headline conversion % alone.
ATM withdrawals in the UK
If you regularly withdraw cash, ATM rules dominate. RedotPay: from 2% with no free tier in our model. Wirex ATM fees depend on tier — confirm in-app. Set your monthly ATM amount in the calculator above.
Crypto card vs exchange + bank transfer
CryptoSpend compares card rails on fees, steps and asset compatibility — not legal or tax advice. A crypto card optimises recurring card-native GBP spend. Exchange → FPS/BACS → UK bank often wins for large one-off transfers but adds steps each cycle.
When a crypto card is worth it in the UK
£800+/month card-eligible spend, stable crypto income in USDT/USDC, and estimated annual card cost beats your current exchange+bank friction for that volume.
FAQ
- Is Bybit Card available in the UK?
- Bybit EU Card is EEA-only (bybit.eu). UK residents are not in that program in our model. Bybit Global Card is also not mapped to GB in our availability data — confirm directly with Bybit if their global product expands.
- Is Crypto.com Card available in the UK?
- Crypto.com EU prepaid Visa is for EEA residential addresses only. UK residents should not expect EU card onboarding — compare RedotPay or Wirex instead.
- Best setup for a UK freelancer paid in USDT?
- RedotPay and Wirex both list USDT. Run the calculator at your typical monthly spend to compare estimated annual cost — then decide card-first vs exchange+bank for rent and large bills.
